2018 Positions Available

Salaries for positions range from $225-$275 per week. All staff also receive room and board throughout the season. Weekly salaries are modified if pre-approved time off is needed.

Help a group of 8-12 campers plan and implement their daily program while providing continual support and supervision. Serve as a positive Christian role model for campers by listening, teaching and spending time in the outdoor setting. Counselors live with campers. Open Positions: 40

Health Care Staff

Carry out the physician approved NLOM Health Care Plan. Review health care records, assess needs, keep daily logs of medications and treatments, care for the sick and injured and complete required reports. Responsibilities also include maintaining health care facilities, inventory of supplies and parent connections. Prefer LPN, RN or healthcare students with previous health care experience. May be asked to live with campers. Must have valid driver's license. Open Positions: 4

Teach care and stewardship of God’s creation through environmental awareness activities, hikes, trail maintenance and outdoor living skills. Serve as a resource for campers and staff encouraging the exploration of God’s creation. Naturalists are responsible for teaching archery and gardening. Naturalists live with campers. Open Positions: 2

Teach basic western horsemanship including ground school, riding in the arena and trail rides with 4th-8th grade campers, at Carol Joy Holling Camp. Care for herd of 30 horses and a variety of small animals plus maintenance of the barn, riding areas, tack and other equipment. Keep appropriate records on horses, riding schedule and performance. Also looking for weekend volunteers to assist with feeding, care and grooming horses. Wranglers also live with campers. Open Positions: 4

Lifeguard at the pool and lake. Supervise, teach and maintain swimming and boating activities (kayaks, canoes and paddleboats) including special events and off site aquatic activities. Responsible for the care and maintenance of the pool, lake, aquatic equipment, shower house and surrounding area. NLOM will pay for lifeguard certification for those serving in this role is not currently certified. Lifeguards live with campers. Open Positions: 3

Challenge Course Facilitators 
Challenge Course Facilitators guide camper groups through our high ropes and group challenge courses. They are also in charge of logging and care of all challenge course equipment. Challenge Course Facilitators live with a group of campers. Open Positions: 5

Creative Arts Specialist
Serve as teacher and helper with campers as they participate in the creative arts program. Create, plan and implement creative arts projects. Store and monitor supplies, making sure supplies needed for projects are available in advance. Involve campers in clean-up and proper storage of supplies and equipment. Creative arts specialists will live with campers. Open Positions: 1

Parent Communicators
Assist with video, photography, communication with camper parents, maintaining the camp store, special events and other marketing and communication projects. Parent Communicators may be asked to live with campers. Open Positions: 2

Service Project Coordinator
Organize and store supplies for camper service project.  Serve as teacher and helper to summer staff and campers as they participate in the annual summer program service project. Work with volunteers and provide them with hospitality. The Service Project Coordinator will live with campers. Open Positions: 1

Camp Hand
Assist with aspects of food preparation. Ensure implementation of standards and regulations related to food service. Provide a safe, top quality camping experience for all participants. Serve as a role model for campers. Fulfill other staff administrative roles as assigned. Camp Hands will not live with campers. Open Positions: 5
